Deuce to Seven Triple Draw Rules

Rate This Article

A five card draw poker game where the object is to get the lowest hand.

Aces count as the highest card, and flushes and straights count as high hands, and therefore count against you. The best hand is therefore [2,3,4,5,7] (though not all the same suit, which would be a flush).

The Deal The player to the dealer’s left posts a small blind bet. The player 2 spaces to the dealer’s left posts a big blind bet. Each player is dealt 5 cards.

The first round of betting begins, starting with the player to the left of the big blind poster.

The Draw Players have the chance to discard any (or all) of their 5 cards. The dealer replaces their discarded cards by dealing new cards.

A round of betting takes place, this time starting with the player to the left of the dealer.

2nd Draw There is another round of ‘drawing’ (discarding and replacing cards).

A round of betting takes place, again starting with the player to the dealer’s left.

3rd Draw The third, and final, ‘draw’ takes place.

The final round of betting occurs, starting with the player to the dealer’s left.

The Showdown Players ’showdown’ their hands, and the best (i.e. lowest) hand wins the pot.
