Rate This Article |
A stud game in which players choose which of their cards are shown face up.
The Deal Each player receives two cards face down.
Play Players turn any one of their cards face up (called a ‘roll’). There is a betting round, starting with the player to the dealer’s left.
2nd Deal Players are dealt another face-down card and then roll one of their remaining two face-down cards. Players again bet, starting with the player to the dealer’s left.
This pattern of rolling and betting repeats two more times until all players have four card face-up and one face-down.
Last Betting Round Players bet one last time.
Showdown Once the last round of betting is complete, all remaining players turn over their last card and the player with the best hand wins the pot.
Variations
Lowest card in each player’s hand is wild. Stripped deck (8s, 9s, and 10s are removed, for example)
