Six Card Stud Poker Rules
Rate This Article |
A stud game where players receive a total of six cards—two face down and four face up. Players use any combination of their cards to form a five-card poker hand.
The Deal Players post an ante, and are then dealt two cards face-down and one card face-up. Players bet in the standard way, starting with the player to the dealer’s immediate left. All bets must match the bet size for the game, which can vary. A game is identified by its bet size, so a Six-card Stud $2 game would use bets of $2 and $2 ante.
The 2nd Deal Players are dealt two more face up cards. Players now each have two face down cards and three face up cards. Another round of betting takes place.
The Last Card The players are dealt one more face-up card, so that each has two face-down and four face-up. Another round of betting takes place.
The Showdown The player with the highest five-card poker hand wins the pot.
